Description
Zivania, a real fire water from Cyprus. Similar to Grappa but without the tender caress. Made from the pomace or residue of grapes pressed during wine making and then mixed with quality Cypriot dry white wines and distilled in traditional apparatus to produce a colourless 90 proof spirit. Much is produced as 'bootleg' spirit and can be readily obtained in small tavernas around the island, usually produced by the patron. You drink this at your own peril
